The Client

Rowex Consumer Healthcare Ltd. was established in 1993 as the Irish marketing division of Rowa Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It is now one of Ireland’s leading providers of generic pharmaceuticals.

Target Market/Industry

Cetrine Allergy is one of Rowex’s leading brands that offers relief for hay fever allergies. As part of their branded campaign, they created a cartoon pollen bug to use on Point Of Sale packaging and used in Television Commercials.

The Brief

Launching their new branding they wanted to reinforce what pollen was and demonstrate how mischievous and irritating pollen can be for people who suffer from allergies.  Our client wanted the promotional gift to be all about their full colour cartoon image.

The Challenge

Our creative team got to work and looked at bespoke shaped fridge magnets, bespoke shaped post-it pads and bespoke design logo bugs. But we felt the product needed to be more interactive and have a higher impact with the recipients.

The Solution

Our design team got all the artwork files and got to work to make the cartoon character come to life in the form of a soft plush teddy.  Normal soft teddys are cute but to have the desired impact we kept the character a little menacing and evil.

The Result

A promotional soft toy like no other. It demonstrates how pollen allergies are for some people but with the use of their product it can be better. This promotional gift delivered the punch for our client and reinforced their brand message.
